Emraan Hashmi’s Captain Nawab poster inspired from Call of Duty

Emraan Hashmi released the first look of his maiden production, Captain Nawab, on Wednesday and in only a matter of hours, the movie was mired in controversy. Emraan, who released a still of him from the film, can be seen sporting a merged Indo-Pak uniform, holding two pistols. The poster started trending on Twitter instantly, and millennials couldn’t help but experience a sense of deja vu when they saw it.

Their doubts weren’t unfounded, as some people made the connection that Emraan’s poster looked like a blatant rip-off of the poster of the hugely popular game, Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game is a first-person shooter, which was released in 2010 and went on to be an immediate hit with the crowd, going on to be an all-time favourite with gamers.
