Cheers to the New Year and to a new beginning. With a fresh start, one often pins down a resolution, while some have a to-do-list, some play it by the ear. Our Bollywood stars are no different to the game of resolutions. From getting a fitter body to a good slate of films, here’s what they are wishing for.

Vicky Kaushal
2018 was a great year for me; it was surreal and gratifying. Now is the beautiful phase to be an actor and I can’t thank the audience enough for this change. There are times when you just want every year to get better and better, and 2018 was a turning point. As far as celebrations are concerned, I will be travelling with my family for a few days.

Fatima Sana Sheikh
I can’t stick to all the promises I make to myself, so I don’t have any fixed resolutions. But I am truly looking forward to work with different directors, play different characters with each of my movie and just have fun getting into the character. The idea of playing different roles really gives me a thrill, so I am looking forward to do that even more. Also, I love to travel and explore new cultures. So my one set resolution is to travel a lot in the coming year.

Jacqueline Fernandez
I am excited to see how 2019 churns out. I think every year is a good year and there are so many things you can learn very year. It’s about how you grow as a person every single year and about using each year as an adventure. I haven’t thought about any resolution, because according to me it should just come to you naturally. You should feel it.

 Daisy Shah
I am happy the way things turned out for me in 2018. My film Race 3 did well and I am happy. I am looking forward to 2019 and am certain about a Gujarati film that I will start shooting for this month. It’s a sports based film and I am looking forward to it.

Salman Khan
“My mother said this four-pack will not be enough and asked me about my New Year resolution. I said nothing. So now she has told me, ‘You have to achieve six-pack’. Now that means, I have to be disciplined and I am doing that. I am going to the gym twice a day. I run for one hour and control my eating habits. She has asked me to achieve six-pack that will be simple for me, according to her and it is easy for me. So, I am going to gift my six-pack body to my mother in 2019,” Salman was quoted saying.

2018 was great and I only feel grateful about how things have passed by. As far as New Year resolutions are concerned I don’t believe in it. I only believe in living life happily. I also have the Accidental Prime Minister releasing this year, which is the most difficult film of mine. So I can’t ask for anything more.

Anushka Sharma
2018 has been great for me. I have done three distinct films in the gone year. Out of those, a lot was gone into two of performances that have been appreciated. I always pick and choose films. I don’t sign a film just because I want to prove point to somebody.

Arjun Kapoor
“Rolling my sleeves up & looking straight at you 2019 !!! 2018 is done and here we go 2019... thank you for teaching me so much 2018 I will never be the same again... the highs & lows the good & the bad it all taught me one thing life is more about living in the present being happy grateful & enjoying what I have worked so hard for... my family has been so amazing they give me strength, my friends as always have stood by me no mater what, the media has been gracious & understanding & my fans have given me the strength needed to fall 7 times & get up 8 because that’s life. Promise to be more active & interactive with all of you in the coming year... enjoy the holidays wish u a happy new year everyone be safe & be happy... (sic),” he posted on Instagram.
