Jab We Met sequel on the cards for Imtiaz

Jab We Met was quite the turning point in not just Kareena Kapoor’s career, but also filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and Shahid Kapoor’s. And while the movie remains evergreen, with innumerable reruns on television and fandom, here’s some fresh news.

Sources close to the development claim that a sequel to Jab We Met is on the cards, and Shahid Kapoor could very much be a part of it.

“The makers are planning to recreate the magic with a sequel, and they are keen on getting Shahid back on. However, the leading lady of the sequel will be some other actress, and not Kareena,” says the source. The duo famously dated at the time, and split soon after.

It would also be interesting to see Imtiaz reuniting with Shahid, even as he tries to exorcise the ghost of Jab Harry Met Sejal’s box office debacle.
