Watch: Trailer of Akshay-Bhumi's Toilet- Ek Prem Katha is impressive
Mumbai: Akshay Kumar has had a major career redefinition with his image as a versatile superstar who takes up socially and nationalistically conscientious subjects being elevated with each film.
The trailer of his latest, 'Toilet- Ek Prem Katha,' suggests a similar step in the right direction.
The film, set in a rural Indian town, tells the tale of a man who takes it upon himself to get a toilet to his village, after his wife walks out on him for lack of proper sanitation.
Helmed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film has a terrifically in form Akshay, doing his endearing histrionics, while also acing the emotional parts. Bhumi Pednekar, after a drastic physical makeover post her acclaimed debut in 'Dum Lagaake Haisha,' is also in phenomenal form.
The lead pair are ably complemented by the supporting cast.
Akshay has had a phenomenal run at the box-office with his last four releases all grossing over 100 crore rupees at the box-office. 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' is also expected to follow suit.
The film is slated for an Independence week released on August 11.
