Rahat to lend vocals for Raveena's Matr

Matr-The Mother also features Madhur Mittal as the antagonist, who was also seen in Slumdog Millionaire.

Raveena Tandon is back in action with her film Matr-The Mother, and now we hear that Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has come on board for the movie, to lend his voice for a song in it.

When we got in touch with the director of Matr, Ashtar Sayed, he said, “The film originally didn’t have any music, but when we started editing the movie, we felt the need for it. So we got some beautiful songs and beautiful lyrics for our film. The music has been given by a Pakistani band. They had composed one beautiful song, which is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.”

He added, “Rahat has got a mesmerising voice and I’m just in awe of his voice and his songs.”

The music of Maatr is created by the Sufi rock band Fuzon. Rahat himself has been part of Bollywood as a playback singer with the movie Paap in 2003.

Matr-The Mother also features Madhur Mittal as the antagonist, who was also seen in Slumdog Millionaire.

The movie delves on justice for women, who have been victims of violence and rape.
