For reasons best known to them, Salman Khan and director Kabir Khan are taking a break from their crackling chemistry. The two who have in the past produced hits such as Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan will soon be out with their third film Tubelight after which, they’re taking a break from each other. The sequel to Ek Tha Tiger titled Tiger Zinda Hai, will be helmed by Salman’s new blue-eyed boy Ali Abbas Zafar who directed the 2016 hit Sultan.

Every effort is being made to ensure that Tiger Zinda Hai is a different beast altogether from the original Tiger film. Says Ali Abbas Zafar, “It’s a very different film as compared to the first one. The only common elements are the characters. The film is an espionage story set against a very relevant backdrop. In terms of execution it will be very real and relatable.”
