Entire world is like family to me: Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist Akshat Singh

Mumbai: Akshat Singh, who rose to fame and garnered immense popularity with his dance in India's Got Talent, the video of the same became viral on YouTube with 5 lakh views.

On April 20, 2019, he appeared on Britain's Got Talent auditions and danced his way to winning a golden buzzer. Soon after his performance, he got a solid response from the judges on the global platform. Speaking about his experience representing India on the global platform, Akshat said, "It was a great experience for me to represent India in Britain's Got Talent. I did a lot of hard work to participate in the show. Right from dance to fitness, I trained regularly for it."

In India, people usually take the blessings of Lord Ganesha to commence their work. Following the Indian rituals, Akshat too did the same and chose to use Ganpati song for Britain's Got Talent's performance. Mentioning about that, Akshat adds, "I had 20 days to prepare for the competition. I chose two songs - 'Deva Shri Ganesha' and 'Starships' by Nicki Minaj. I thought the first song should always dedicate to Lord Ganesha and the second one was to make everyone happy."

The 13-year-old Akshat broke the stereotype by dancing confidently on the stage despite being a fat kid. Interestingly, in his performance at Britain's Got Talent, Akshat said one line i.e. 'Fat people can dance'. In the world where oversized people get body-shamed, the performer has indeed given an important message to people in society. "It doesn't matter if you are fat or skinny. Your heart should follow the right path and goals that you want to achieve in your life. Give a priority to be happy and make others happy," Akshat added.

Akshat is a big Salman Khan fan. He also did a signature step of the actor from the song 'Dhinka Chika' in his performance. Sharing his likes about Salman Khan, he said, "He's a man with the golden heart. He's a very straight forward person. I like his aura and style. I do follow good qualities." "I love his film Bajrangi Bhaijaan," he added.

Akshat has appeared in India's Got Talent as well as Britain's Got Talent. Mentioning about the difference between both the shows with the same genre, Akshat expressed, "There is no difference. It was a superb journey for me to go from IGT to BGT but with the same motto. I'm feeling proud and lucky to get selected for Britain's Got Talent. And after getting a golden buzzer, I was on cloud nine."

"I always give happiness to people and now, I'm getting it back. People now started believing after seeing me on the show that nothing is impossible in our life. Now, the entire world is like a family to me," Akshat added about the changes happening in his life.

Akshat was also a contestant of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 7) and appeared on an American talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He will debut as an actor through the Malayalam film Ayal Njanalla.

Making his country proud, Akshat qualified for semifinals of Britain's Got Talent which will be aired on Colors Infinity. Let's hope he wins the trophy for India.
