Julia Roberts admits working with Jodie Foster was scary

Iconic actress Julia Roberts has had quite an eventful year.

Iconic actress Julia Roberts has had quite an eventful year. After appearing sparingly in movies in the last couple of years, Julia has had two releases in as many months — Mother’s Day and Money Monster.

With the release of Money Monster, a movie based on the tumultuous markets of Wall Street, Julia has been reunited with George Clooney and actor-turned-director, Jodie Foster. Julia says that working alongside Jodie was a little intimidating for her. “In my mind, she’s scary but she’s really sweet,” Julia reveals.

The actress mentions that Jodie is a great performer but is also a no-nonsense director. “She doesn’t think that there has to be some incredible, painful struggle to accomplish your goals,” says Julia. “I also thought she was crazy to be helming me and George; it’s like trying to keep puppies in a box.”

While the movie with George was a madcap ride for Julia, the Pretty Woman star says she also enjoyed her part as Miranda, a writer who has to give up her only child, in Mother’s Day. Starring alongside, Jennifer Aniston, says Julia, was a great experience. “She’s an incredible person,” says Julia of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. star. “Her career is just outstanding and she knows what she’s doing.”
