Lucknow: There is little colour left in Holi in Lucknow this year.

Almost all political leaders have chosen to remain away from the state capital on the festival of colours, leaving the party offices almost deserted and barren.

UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath is in Gorakhpur where he will lead the traditional “Narsingh Shobha Yatra” on Friday. This is Yogi Adityanath’s first Holi after becoming chief minister and party workers and officers who had looked forward to celebrating eh festival with the chief minister are sorely disappointed.

“In previous years, there was a tradition that the chief minister would greet bureaucrats, party workers, journalists at his official residence,” said a senior IAS officer.
