Rajasthan unit of BJP, Cong to campaign in Gujarat
With election campaign intensified in neighbouring Gujarat, the leaders from ruling Congress and the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party have geared up to join the battleline to woo the voters. Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot took bordering area of Gujarat by storm while addressing a series of rallies in last two days. The BJP is also going to send a group of its leaders and workers to Gujarat for campaigning. The Congress has asked its MPs, MLAs, ministers and other senior leaders to fan out in Gujarat to mobilise support for the Congress. The party has selected 96 leaders from Rajasthan to be dispatched to Gujarat. “We have divided it in two parts. One group of leaders will visit the tribal region of the Gujarat while second group will move in non-tribal areas,” said a senior leader. The Congress has decided to send tribal leaders like rural development minister Mahendrajeet Malviya to Dahod, higher education minister Dayaram Parmar and Udaipur MP Raghuveer Meena to Bansaskantha, minister of state Mangilal Garasia Panchmahal while Dungarpur MP Tarachand has been asked to campaign in Sabarkantha.
