Over 800 women to participate in Women’s Car Rally

The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs one lakh, the first runner-up, Rs 75,000 and the second runner-up Rs 50,000.

The “Women's Car Rally to the Valley” will be held on March 25. This popular annual event, conducted exclusively for women is being organised by the Western India Automobile Association (WIAA) in partnership with Lavassa City. The 10th edition of the Women’s Car Rally also has the support of JK Tyres and powered by Motul.

Nitin Dossa, the executive chairman of the WIAA, said this rally is basically being organised to spread the message about women’s safety and to celebrate International Women’s Day. This year, the rally is expected to see participation from a total of 800-1,000 women across the city and almost 200 cars.

The rally will commence from NSCI, Mumbai at 6.30am and proceed through the city’s major landmarks like Hajji Ali, Peddar Road, Chowpatty, Marine Drive, Churchgate before concluding at Lavassa City.
