Arjun Kapoor turns producer

Boney Kapoor’s father Surinder Kapoor was a producer, having made films such as Hum Paanch, Woh Saat Din etc. Boney too became a producer later.  Boney’s mother-in-law Sattee Shourie (wife Mona Kapoor’s mother) was also an established producer, having made films like Sheesha and Farishtay. Both his late wives Mona Kapoor and Sridevi also had a producer credit to their name while his brothers Anil and Sanjay Kapoor and his niece Rhea have also made films.

And now his son Arjun Kapoor is going down the same road with a company called Dream Chaser Films. He has established a production banner and registered it with one of the producers’ association. Arjun already has earlier been an executive producer for Milenge Milenge, No Entry and Wanted and has learnt the ropes.

“He is a producer’s son. He understands the nitty-gritties of film production and how to line-up the actors, set-up the entire technical crew and execute the production of films. It is not surprising that he is setting up a production house now,” says a trade source.
