I can never be compared to Salman, says Varun Dhawan
Since he was already trained in the various departments of the hotel, they agreed to my request.
Actor Varun Dhawan recently helped a 19-year-old boy who wanted to become a sous chef. “Yes, I met him in the hotel where I was staying and on the last day of my shoot, I went to the management and requested them to allow him to work in the kitchen as a sous chef. Since he was already trained in the various departments of the hotel, they agreed to my request. I am happy that he got enrolled in the department he wished to work in,” says Varun.
On being compared with Salman Khan, who is also known for his generous ways and charitable work, he says, “I can never be compared to Salman. He is a large-hearted man who is known for giving so much of his wealth to everyone around him. Needless to say, he stands for the needy and the poor at all times. He’s one-of-a-kind.”
Talking about Salman’s recent jail and bail stint, Varun says, “We were all looking forward for Salman to be set free, and were obviously happy about his homecoming. Like Salman’s family, we all believe in and respect our legal system.” He adds, “Amidst all the jubilation outside his residence, I went to his place after he returned and although we did not talk much, I hugged him.”
Further, Varun says, “My relationship with Salman is very personal. I have known and seen him closely since my childhood, so there has never been a professional angle.”
