Iulia Vantur opens up on playback debut

The title track of Veere Di Wedding, starring Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan has become popular, interestingly so because Iulia Vantur has sung some portions of the song. She has sung portions of Veere along with composer-singer Vishal Mishra, Aditi Singh Sharma, Dhvani Bhanushali, Nikita Ahuja and Payal Dev.

In the past, Iulia has come out with a couple of singles with Himesh Reshammiya and others, after having made her big screen debut with the song Ummbakkum from the Atul Agnihotri-produced film O Teri.

The Romanian host and singer who is rumoured to be Salman’s girlfriend, however, did not find a place in Khan’s ensemble Da-Bangg tour. Because Salman had earlier said that she would be part of the tour once she has few more songs in her kitty.

“I haven’t seen many things coming but I am enjoying as and when they come. I sing for pleasure, I am doing things I want to do. I have no target set but I am enjoying the process and my job as a TV host,” she says.

“The Veere Di Wedding song is out and I am a part of that song. There are a few more songs I recorded sometime back and few are coming up. There are three four more songs in some big films. I haven’t seen the film but it will be a statement from girls and it will be about women empowerment,” says Iulia.
