In light of the historic decriminalisation of Section 377, actor Ayushmann Khurrana wants to do about a film about the Supreme Court’s decision to make gay sex legal.

He feels that a film on the subject will help create more awareness among people. In past, he’s been a part of some offbeat films like Vicky Donor, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Dum Lagaake Haisha.

“I feel the SC’s decision regarding Section 377 is historic to say the least, and it was long overdue. The decision shows that the nation is getting progressive in its thoughts. Perhaps it will strengthen our belief in the judicial system. But then, there are smaller battles yet to be fought. Those will only be won when everyone understands the social implications of the SC’s decision and accepts it wholeheartedly,” Ayushmann says.

He adds that acceptance will only come with education. “If there is a film made on the subject, I will definitely want to be a part of it. It is important to work on this subject,” he says.
