Carrie Fisher suffers massive heart attack on flight
The 60-year-old actress had reportedly stopped breathing for 10-minutes'.
Actress Carrie Fisher suffered a major heart attack while she was on an 11-hour transatlantic flight from London to Los Angeles on Saturday. A distress call was made by the pilot and it was revealed that the actress was being kept alive by CPR but she was “unresponsive”.
Despite reports that the actress was stable, her brother Todd Fisher told Variety that she was in the intensive care unit and “everyone was praying for her”, reported Dailymail.co.uk.
After she was admitted, her 24-year-old daughter, Billie Lourd, rushed to the hospital with the actress’ beloved french bulldog, Gary. According to reports, the Star Wars actress suffered the attack 15 minutes prior to landing and paramedics worked on her till they could get a pulse. When the flight landed the actress was rushed to the hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
According to her housekeeper, the actress didn’t suffer from any known health issues prior to this episode.
