New Delhi: Visiting Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has invited Indian businesses to invest in the Himalayan nation as after years of policy stalemate and stagnation Nepal is now ready to gather pace.
The India Nepal Business Forum held on Wednesday invited business in the two nations to work jointly and co-operatively to boost economic growth and develop new ties.
“After years of policy stalemate and stagnation Nepal is now ready to gather pace and I warmly invite you to invest in Nepal. I call upon both our communities to come together and build on our strong social and cultural links for economic growth,” said Mr Deuba.
Vice-president, Confederation of Nepalese Industries and MD Chaudhary Group Nirvana Chaudhary said trade between India and Nepal will only increase. “Nepal is once again seeing unprecedented growth and is projected to grow at 7.5 percent this year making it one of the three fastest growing economies in the world,” he said. The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has a strong history of bilateral developments with FICCI.
