Flyovers at Thane to be inaugurated by CM
The flyover project was implemented by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
Mumbai: The chief minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis will inaugurate and throw open two flyovers – at Ghansoli-Talavli and Savita Chemicals – in Thane along with a vehicular underpass on Monday morning.
He will also perform the bhoomipujan for an elevated road and tunnel connecting Thane-Belapur Road and NH-4 and rail over bridge at Kopri, Thane. The flyover project was implemented by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA)
The 796-m long rail over bridge at Kopri, Thane with four plus four lane is to be completed in two phases. Initially two bridges of two lanes each will be constructed on either side of the existing bridge and in the second phase the existing bridge will be dismantled to make way for a new bridge with two plus two lanes. The project is expected to be completed in 36 months from the date of award. Further, Mr Fadnavis will inaugurate the 1.4-km long Ghansoli-Talavli flyover consisting of 575-m long two-lane flyover from Savita Chemicals and 485-m long three-lane vehicular underpass at Mahape towards Belapur. This project crosses two junctions at Ghansoli and Talavli.
