12 hurt in bus collision on Satis bridge
Among those injured were three SSC pass students, who were on their way to get information about a course which interested them.
Mumbai: Twelve people were injure after a Thane-Bhiwandi State Trans-port bus collided with another bus on the Satis Bridge near Thane railway station on Thursday. All injured passengers were rushed to Thane Civil Hospital. Some of them needed stitches as they suffered severe bruises.
Among those injured were three SSC pass students, who were on their way to get information about a course which interested them.
According to sources, incident took place at 2pm on Thursda. Prelimi-nary probe revealed that the gearbox of the Bhiwandi-bound bus was jammed due to which the driver lost control of the vehicle and ended up ramming it into the side of the bridge. And as bus rammed into the bridge, another trailing bus collided into it with force.
Parth Mehta who was seated on the middle said, “Our bus suddenly banged on something, and the next thing we realised was people were screaming and many were bleeding profusely.
