Narayan Rane's party to contest LS and Assembly polls
Though Narayan Rane is a BJP MP, he wants to establish his own identity through his party.
Mumbai: Former chief minister and BJP MP Narayan Rane’s Swabhiman Party has decided to contest Lok Sabha and Assembly elections solo, said Nitesh Rane, Congress MLA. He said that the new party will contest at least 100 seats across the state in the assembly elections and will decide about an alliance with BJP. Though Narayan Rane is a BJP MP, he wants to establish his own identity through his party.
“Party has started membership registration drive and will register more than one lakh workers soon across the state,” said MLA Nitesh Rane.
Narayan Rane founded Swabhiman Party after he quit Congress. He was earlier inclined towards becoming minister of state, but however chief minister Devendra Fadna-vis was against it. After a long wait, Narayan bagged Rajya Sabha seat.
