Dear Instagrammers, it’s time you added more colours to your story. With stickers, holiday fun and ‘more’, Instagram wants its dear customers to have more fun. “Since last month’s update, we’ve loved seeing how you’ve used Boomerang and mentions to make your stories even more fun. Now you have new ways to turn any moment into something you want to share with your friends and followers,” goes the Insta blog update.

Next time you take a photo or video, see if a new stickers button appears near the text and drawing tools. Tap the smiley face and customisable stickers appear – choose what you want. The stickers are available for weather, current time and location. You can even create your own sticker; “move them around, make them bigger or smaller and choose from different styles to match your mood.” A few weeks to come will be of holiday stickers. A ‘special candy cane’ brush has also come to make this cute addendum to your posts.

Is that all? Well, Insta has become ‘hands-free’. From now on, one need not press and hold to shoot an action. In just one tap, the video will get recorded. On iOS, an entire business story of 24 hours can be brought on a camera roll as a single video.
