Nature Wrap from Kesoram

Kolkata: Kesoram Rayon has now come up with an eco-friendly compostable food packaging solution called ‘Kesophane- Nature Wrap’ as a true alternative to conventional packaging like foils and plastics.

As starter, the company has rolled this out in Kolkata. It would soon be rolled out in Bangalore and Mumbai. It is being introduced in the retail market in small rolls (9 mt) for convenient food wrapping usage. The company is simultaneously preparing to expand its use in several consumer-friendly commercial applications. Kesoram Rayon foresees wide applications and huge possibility of business opportunities in this product, Kesoram spokesman said.

While plastic packaging may not be biodegradable. Nature Wrap’s significance lies in its environment-friendliness.
