Hyderabad: With the Trump administration coming down hard on work visa and immigration, the investment-based EB-5 visas, which was touted as an alternative route for Indian HNIs to acquire green cards, may see as much as 80 per cent dip in applications if the expected hike in investment limit goes through, according to an official of CanAM Enterprises.

“With the Trump administration likely to almost double the investment limit from $500,000 and $1 million for the investment-based EB-5 visa, applications from India may see as much as  80 per cent dip in the applications for such visas among Indian HNIs,” said Abhinav Lohia, vice-president (India & Middle East), CanAm Enterprises.
