Kolkata: The Ambuja-Neotia Group-backed Vedic Maths Forum India is extremely bullish about the growth of prospects of Vedic Maths in school education in the wake of the proposed incorporation of Indian knowledge systems in curriculum in the new National Education Policy. The new policy draft formulated by a committee headed by former Indian Space Research Organisation chief K Kasturirangan, which was recently handed over to new HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, talks about Indian contribution to knowledge and the historical context will be incorporated wherever relevant, into the existing school curriculum and textbooks. And the topics will include Indian contribution to mathematics, astronomy, philosophy, psychology, yoga, architecture, medicine, as well as governance, polity, society, and conservation course on Indian knowledge systems.

The company is already on an expansion mode and has lined up an expansion plan of marking its presence in 25 more cities in India and 12 new countries through the franchise route, by March, 2020. Vedic Maths Forum India is exploring various ways of partnering with universities, departments of education and the ministry of human resources and development to spread its wings across the country.

It will not only focus on applications of Vedic Maths for SAT, GMAT and CAT but will also focus on school programmes as well in line with various national and international boards where students can benefit out of the methods of Vedic Maths. The teachers are also being trained in Vedic Mathematics by the company, said Gaurav Tekriwal, Founder-CEO, Vedic Maths Forum India.
