Mumbai: Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Simmba’ was the most-awaited film for it brought out the collaboration of Rohit Shetty with Karan Johar.

But slowly it looks like the movie is creating lack of interest in the cast. On Wednesday, news reports stated that Rohit Shetty isn’t keen to cast Karan Johar’s favourite student Alia Bhatt in the movie.

Alia and Ranveer seem to have gotten close too since they are shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’. Alia had even gone on to call Ranveer her favourite actor.

Now it looks like Ranveer is not taking up any other south remakes after ‘Simmba’, which happens to a remake of Junior NTR's ‘Temper’ (2015).

The reason for this, according to a report on Mid-Day, is that the on-screen Khilji wants to work in a completely different genre post ‘Padmaavat’.
