Have conviction, before you look for validation, says Arjun Kapoor
Arjun Kapoor continues to hone his skills as an actor, while waiting for the opportune moment to take on the mantle of producer.
Since childhood, actor Arjun Kapoor has always known what it feels like to be behind the cameras. Son of producer Boney Kapoor, Arjun admits that production was always on the agenda. While there have been reports about the actor launching his own production house for a while now, he seems reluctant to talk about it.
Arjun says, “It is too early to speak about it, but it's something that has been on my mind for a while. But there is no maturity and we still haven't reached a point where I can give a concrete answer.” The actor had started out as an executive producer for films like Milenge Milenge, No Entry and Wanted, and has learnt the ropes in production.
Last seen in Namaste England, Arjun's next will be Sandeep Aur Pinky Farrar with Parineeti Chopra. He believes that ultimately, it's the audience who's king as they decide the fate of a film. “At the end of the day, everyone knows everything and nobody knows nothing; the audience is the king, they decide. I respect them and know that everything else will fall into place. I would say you have to have conviction in yourself and your choices, before you look for validation from external forces. You have to be honest with your work, and let the audience decide what they like and what they don't. You can't force yourself. You will get answers. You need to know how to shut out the nonsense and take in the sense,” says the 33-year-old actor.
