Kyra Dutt quits Balaji over XXX being stalled

Ekta Kapoor’s erotic drama XXX has been embroiled in controversies for the longest time. And now, the leading lady of the movie, Kyra Dutt, has ended her contract with Balaji, after she realised the film is not releasing.

“I was under contract with Balaji exclusively. Thanks to XXX, I was not allowed to do any other movie. I just terminated my contract with them because I realised that the film is not releasing. For one year, I was doing nothing, and was only waiting for the movie to release. Now I can sign  other films,” says Kyra. “I have nothing against the makers, because it happens. Nobody wants to do this on purpose.”

The actors of the movie were made to sign a contract that also contained a nudity clause and Kyra was one of the first people to sign it. Directed by Ken Ghosh, the movie was to feature some more actresses. Kyra adds, “I keep hearing things like it’s going to release this year, but I’m not really sure when, because nothing is on paper. It’s a great film, and will do well whenever it releases.”
