Lucknow: Facebook posts by two RSS functionaries, complaining of neglect by the Yogi Aditynath government, have sent the BJP in a tizzy.

Avadh Prant Sahkaryavah, Narendra Singh, in his Facebook post, said it would be suicidal for the BJP to induct “outsiders”. He added many were trying to enter the BJP through ministers of their caste.

“Several ministers are in touch with such people to increase dominance of their respective castes. Also, several of them are holding ‘all-party meetings’ with influential people of their castes. Ministers are giving importance to such people during field tours as well,” Mr Singh wrote.

He stated while some leaders who held key posts in the party organisations when the BJP was out of power have joined the government as ministers, some others too are eager for power.

“The organisation has been dwarfed in front of the government and this is not a welcome sign,” he stated. Mr Singh, when contacted, declined to comment on his post.

Another RSS functionary, Prabhu Narain, who is the Avadh Prant Sanghchalak, posted on his Facebook page that the BJP should maintain transparency in nominations and distribution of tickets and should respect the dedicated workers.

“New people in the party are welcome, but the committed party workers should not be humiliated,” he wrote.

Though both the functionaries, when contacted, refused to comment on their posts but another Sangh functionary said that the statements merely reflected the feelings of BJP workers.

The RSS had earlier put up a proposal for a committee between the government and the party organisation but the same did not materialise.

The posts by RSS functionaries have rattled the BJP leaders since the Sangh functionaries are never known to air their grievances in public.
