BJP to train spokespersons in meet

Will share guidelines on how to counter Opp’s allegations.

New Delhi: Ahead of Narendra Modi-led NDA government’s three year anniversary, the ruling BJP has called a meeting of its spokespersons and panelists participating in television debates, for a training on the ‘do’s and don’t’s.’

Party spokesperson and panellists from all states will be assembling at the BJP headquarters on May 19, where senior leaders, including some Union ministers, will guide them as how to effectively counter Oppositions’ propaganda and allegations against the Modi government and highlight the good work done by the NDA dispensation in the last three years. Opposition Congress has decided to launch a nation-wide campaign against the “failures” of the Modi-led government, themed, ‘Teen Saal, Desh Behaal, Yahi hai Bhajapaa ka kamaal.”

Sources disclosed that BJP spokespersons and panellists would be asked to arm themselves with facts and figures on issues, including employment generation, benefits to farmers and underprivileged, schemes for youth and women along with various initiative taken for “inclusive development” by the government.  

As part of the third year anniversary celebrations, the government and the ruling BJP will be launching a ‘New India’ campaign, with events being organised at 900 cities across the country from May 26 to June 15. Mr Modi himself will launch the celebrations from Assam on May 26. The ruling BJP is also planning to organise ‘MODI (Making of developing India)’ across the country, through its state units apart from various other programme.

The Prime Minister has been replying to many congratulatory messages on the social media for his government’s third anniversary. Responding to messages, Mr Modi had mentioned that his government is committed to build the new India through a “reform to transform” approach. Mr Modi thanked people for their support and mentioned that “strength is derived from the skills and talents of 125 crore people of India.”
