Fancy a walk to an island through the sea? If the answer is yes, then head over to the Dharmadam Island Beach in Kannur. During low tide, you can walk to this island from the beach through sea. It is located 30-34 km from Kannur city.

It was a small 2 hectare private island in Thalassery until 1998, when the Kerala government took over the land and developed it as a tourism project. This island, which lies 100 metres from the mainland at Dharmadam, is a sight to behold and is covered with coconut palms and lush vegetation. It can also be viewed from the Muzhappilangad beach. Permission is required to land on the island and there is also a small entry fee to be paid.
