Truck carrying chemical crashes into car showroom

New Delhi: A truck carrying chemicals crashed into a Mercedes car showroom on early Sunday morning in the capital’s Raja Garden locality.

The guard at the showroom sustained minor injuries and one luxury car was totally damaged.  Police arrested the accused driver and investigations are on.

According to the police, a speeding truck hit another truck from the rear on Raja Garden Ring Road due to which the second truck lost its balance and crashed into a Mercedes showroom around 3 am on Sunday.

The truck was loaded with chemicals, which is used to test wood. The chemical spilled all over on the road and even one a high-end luxury Mercedes car parked outside the showroom. Due to the spill, the car has been totally damaged.

A night guard who was on duty at that time also sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for primary medication and later sent home.

The accused driver of the truck is in police custody, while the police is searching for the driver of the truck, which hit from behind.

The police is going through CCTV footage in the locality. However, no case has been filed yet, case will be filed once the preliminary investigation is over, the police said.
