Not only will it help you when a fire breaks out, but it’s also a flower vase.

When there’s a fire, people often panic and to escape as far away as possible from fire is the number one priority. During this, the idea of grabbing a fire extinguisher and trying to put those flames off just doesn’t cross the path of our mind, even before grabbing we must find the fire extinguisher which itself is a pretty dangerous task if your house is on fire.

Worry no more, now you can simply pick up a vase and throw it to douse the flames. It probably looks like magic but the innovative ‘firevase’ is something which exists. Developed by South Korean ad agency Cheil Worldwide, a subsidiary of Samsung Group, the vase contains liquid potassium carbonate, which blocks oxygen, ultimately suppressing a fire.

The vase is made out of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to reduce the danger of the fragments causing harm and it contains 770ml of the liquid formula in order to be thrown to put out the fire. Not only it helps you when a fire breaks out but it’s also a flower vase and can be used for a small bunch of flowers. This makes it fit perfectly anywhere in your house and in case of fire you know what to do.

In 2018, Cheil Worldwide and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance manufactured and distributed 110,000 firevases to their clients. They are planning to give out another 100,000 this year.
