MHC with 10 points has cemented their place in the next phase of the competition.

MCH ‘Avengers’ (Malabar Hill Club) and MCF ‘Dark Knights’ (Mandpeshwar Civic Federation) won both their home and away ties, in Section-B and Section-D round-robin league matches respectively, during the second week of the ‘CCI Kekoo Nicholson BSAM Billiards League 2018.

The Malabar Hill Club team, who had defeated CRMI ‘Star Blue’ in both the ties and also picked up a bonus point in the first week, came up with another fine combined performance to outsmart Catholic ‘Rebel’. In the away tie, the Malabar Hill team comprising of Manan Shah, Rohan Mehta and Nitin Banka pulled off a convincing 490-274 win. Later, the Malabar Hill combination of Kunal Gandhi, Rohan Mehta and Manan Shah, comfortably won at home by a 566-396 margin to complete the win with another bonus point. MHC with 10 points has cemented their place in the next phase of the competition.

The MCF team, buoyed from their success against BG ‘Phantoms’ in the opening week, once again churned out a fine performances to prevail over MBPT Sports ‘Kings’ in both the encounters. MCF fielding a team consisting of Avenish Shah, Dharmesh Mistry and Vatsal Ponda had no problems in coasting to a 552-478 away win and 487-345 home win. They also picked up a bonus point to tally 10 points and are assured of a place in the knockout round.

Meanwhile, notable performers during the second week include former World Billiards champion Ashok Shandilya of CG ‘Dream Team who compiled a century break of 101 and 75 and Jaiveer Dhingra of CCI Nicholson Boys, who made a run of an unfinished 103. Aditya Agrawal of PJHG ‘Hazards’, who had set the pace with a 110 effort in the first week enjoyed another impressive run during the second week rattling in four half century breaks of 73 (unfinished), 72, 72 and 51. His teammate Siddharth Parikh had two substantial breaks of 68 and 81. Asutosh Padhy of JVPG Jugglers also showed good consistency making breaks of 83, 47, 39 and 37.

Aditya Agrawal of PJHG ‘Hazards, who made a break of 110 in his first match, enjoyed another impressive run during the second week rattling in four half century breaks of 73 (unfinished), 72, 72 and 51 in the ‘CCI Kekoo Nicholson BSAM Billiards League 2018.
