A month-long challenge received applications from India aimed to find meaningful innovation.
RB, the world’s leading consumer Health and Hygiene Company announced winners for ‘Dettol-Innovate with Purpose Challenge’. RB, partnered with Startup India, a Government of India initiative, to build a strong and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship addressing the health and hygiene issue in the country.
RB’s objective was to identify, mentor and reward startups which can bring new approaches, products, and technologies that will increase as well as maintain hand hygiene practices across consumers of all age ranges, from school-age children to adults
Notably, Dettol shortlisted 15 applications from 64 applications received overall across various stages of startups operating in segments like biotechnology, medical, and scientific to computers or hardware systems. Most of the applications were for categories of products including handwash, sanitizers, wet wipes, soaps, etc. Interestingly, 10 product ideas were based on herbal solutions. The top three winners of the challenge were felicitated at a ceremony held at RB office in Gurugram.
