While Vine was used by people for daily stuff, Pornhub plans to convert it into a porn site.

Popular adult entertainment website Pornhub said that it can help save Vine, the short video message sharing platform, by purchasing it. The Independant reports that Pornhub sent an official letter to Jack Doesey, CEO of Vine’s owner Twitter, offering to acquire the platform and save it from being shut down completely.

“My company Pornhub, the leading adult entertainment site with more than 60 million daily visitors, has a lot in common with Vine,” writes Price. “We’re interested in purchasing Vine from you. We figure since Twitter has dropped it and is having significant layoffs that you and your stakeholders could benefit from a cash infusion from the sale of Vine,” he further wrote.

A letter by Purnhub CEO Corney Price clearly mentions that it would like to turn it into a porn site and would like to restore it ‘back to its NSFW glory’. Apart from convert it into an adult website, Pornhub also mentions that it will save all the previous Vines that was currently hosted online.

The letter ended with a note that Pornhub hopes Dorsey will consider the offer.

Twitter and Vine had earlier announced to shut the video-sharing platform. Twitter shut down Vine this week and released a statement that the mobile app will also be discontinuing in the following months. Vine faced tough competition from Snapchat and Instagram, following which it suffered losses, sacked 9 per cent of staff.

“Since 2013, millions of people have turned to Vine to laugh at loops and see creativity unfold. Today, we are sharing the news that in the coming months we’ll be discontinuing the mobile app,” wrote Vine on their blog. “Nothing is happening to the apps, website or your Vines today. We value you, your Vines, and are going to do this the right way. You’ll be able to access and download your Vines. We’ll be keeping the website online because we think it’s important to still be able to watch all the incredible Vines that have been made. You will be notified before we make any changes to the app or website,” it further adds.
