Teriya beats Salman, Shantanu to win Jhalak Dikhla Jaa

Fourteen-year-old Teriya Magar was crowned the winner of the reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in a glittering finale. She gave tough competition to biggies like Salman Yusuff Khan and Shantanu Maheshwari. Teriya and her dance partner took home a cash prize of Rs 30 lakh along with the trophy. Commenting on her big win, Teriya said, “I won this finale only because of the voting system. I want to thank Nepal for supporting me. I have made my country and family both proud by winning this coveted trophy. Dance is my passion, and today it has made me the winner of this show. I would also like to thank my fellow contestants for challenging me at every point;  and the judges for inspiring me to give Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa my very best week after week.”
