New Delhi: A day after the government announced that select petrol pumps will dispense Rs 2,000 cash per person, the struggles of the common man continues. People complained that cash was not available at fuel stations till late afternoon. This caused huge inconvenience to people, who decided to withdraw cash from the fuel stations in a bid to escape the long queues outside the banks and the ATMs.

The city dwellers continued to face a harrowing time on the tenth consecutive day after demonetisation move as the select fuel stations with SBI card swipe machines were not dispensing cash as announced by the government. It was decided that the fuel stations will get Rs 1 lakh in cash from the banks and this money will be dispensed at Rs 2,000 per person.

Supriya Sharma, a resident of Yusuf Sarai area, said that the fuel stations nearby her area were not dispensing cash till late afternoon. She also said that it was really difficult to locate the stations which were actually dispensing cash.
