These toy cars, manufactured by American toy maker Mattel since 1968 being scale models are made to perfection and therefore equally attract kids as well as adults. Hot Wheels have life size model of many cars, which makes it a collector's favorite. Mostly an inexpensive toy, you would be surprised to know that there are some rare Hot Wheels toy cars that can burn a hole in your pocket. These ones can cost you few thousand rupees too. 1974 Blue Rodger Dodger PRICE: Rs 5 LAKH
This model is a personal favourite of the Hot Wheels fans and readily available in colours like red, yellow and purple. The blue however, is very rare to find as only seven of them are reported to have been made in 1974. Owning one of these for Rs 5 lakh is definitely a tough decision to make.

This is believed to be the first Hot Wheel model ever produced and could rarely be found sold loose. If you find one on sale today, expect to pay around Rs 1 lakh.

1970 Ed Shaver Custom AMX
PRICE: Rs 2,70,000

This model originally sold as part of the “Exclusive Racing Car Series”, and was exclusively available in the United Kingdom in blue. The Ed Shaver stickers is the unique feature that makes this model more expensive. Shaver was racer who was sponsored by Mattel. Only a few of these models exist today and they retail for around Rs 2,70,000.

These can one of the rarest possessions one can ever have because if reports are to be believed then at last count a fewer than 10 of the 1970 Red Baron with White Interior is expected to exist. This could be because the model, which was designed to resemble World war I fighter planes in many ways was never widely sold. Only a handful of these being available, it can cost you approximately '2 lakh if you wish to buy this toy car.
