Nesmuk Jahrhundertmesser — $95,992.60
The most expensive kitchen knife in the world, Nesmuk Jahrhundertmesser costs as much as it does because of its impeccable craftsmanship. It is made by the famous Germany-based knife makers, Nesmuk and the blade contains 640 layers of Damascus steel. The handle isn’t ordinary either for it is made out of 5,000 year-old bog oak. The ferrule is made using the finest platinum and is studded with 25 diamonds.
Yoshihiro Mizuyaki Honyaki Mirror Finished Mt. Fuji with Full Moon Yanagi Kiritsuke Gold Phoenix Fuki Urushi Lacquered Rosewood Handle and Saya — $6,500
Made by one of the best knife masters in Japan, this knife features a wavy pattern that resembles Mount Fuji during full moon. The cover of the knife features a phoenix, which has been painted using the traditional Fuki Urushi method.

Second on the list is a knife made by master knife maker Yoshikazu Ikeda. The blade of this traditional Japanese knife is made from white steel. The blade is held together by a corian handle and the sheath features designs made using the Wajima Lacquer method. It’s only fair that this elegant knife have a cover to match, and so it’s cover is decorated with beautiful cherry blossoms.
Tsukasa 270mm White Steel Enryu Kurouchi Damascus Wa-Gyuto — $2,500
This hand-forged knife gets its seamless Damascus pattern from the twisting during the making. The blade features the warikomi style and is made usingcarbon steel. It takes about six to eight months to create this razor-sharp offering.
