Tiger, tiger, burning bright!
Khemchand Joshi from Jaipur is a technology architect with a passion for wildlife photography. He shares some stunning visuals.
An insatiable love for wanderlust coupled with an innate flair to capture the beauty of wildlife; Jaipur-based technology architect cum photographer Khemchand Joshi took to the lens back in the year 2013. “Calmness of the mind, appreciating love for others in the community, motivation (struggle for survival at each step) and due connection with nature; Photography helps me to showcase my perception of the world, to the world,” he begins.
An interesting episode, just fuelled the idea to tread the path. “On an eventful day in November, I happened to visit Ranthambore, and chanced upon a male tiger (T-25) who walked with us for half an hour evoked something that pushed me to capture only wild animals ever since.” Khemchand continues to juggle work and pursue his passion in wildlife photography. He is a regular visitor of Ranthambore National Park, owing to his keen love of tigers and Jhalana for glimpses of the Leopards.
Speaking of which, he says, “Experiencing the royalty and ferociousness of creatures wild and mild drives my passion. Moreover, it helps me take a quick break from the otherwise hustle and bustle in life. The jungle safari is a blessing to me, to be able to connect with the wild in its natural form.” Interestingly, it didn’t take long for this dilettante photographer to have his works appreciated.
Earlier this month, an international daily ran a story on Khemchand’s action packed pictures, brimming of life, showing two predators intertwined in a battle for supremacy at the Ranthambore National Park. Speaking of his biggest takeway from this unwinding plan, he concludes, “ Over the years, I have had great sights, but the recent experience watching the T-60’s sub-adult male and T-39’s daughter earlier in June this year was the best of all. This memory of the real jungle fight will hold dear to me and shall really not fade for a long time.”
