Adah Sharma now steps into her home territory with a guest appearance in Idhu Namma Aalu, which will be her first film in her mother tongue, Tamil. An obviously excited Adah tells us, “I am from Tamil Nadu and this is my first film in the language I grew up speaking. And on top of that it’s a dance number with Simbu. So I am very excited.”

With unusual candour, Adah reveals that the number in the film titled Idhu Namma Aalu was first offered to Shruti Haasan. “It was always meant to be a special appearance – a song-and-dance sequence along with few scenes. When it eventually came my way I said yes without a second thought. I love dancing,” she adds.

She hopes this would lead to a full-fledged starring role in a Tamil film in the future.

Adah, who feels that she made a fair headway in Hindi cinema, tells us about how she feels and says, “People still remember me from 1920 and after that, Haseen Toh Phasee. I will be doing another Hindi film soon. I knew no one in the Hindi or Telugu film industry when I was offered films here and I am proud to have achieved what I have on my own.”
