All eyes are now on the new Star Wars film — The Force Awakens — which opens next Friday in India, a week after its global release.

And while the film didn't’ escape the eagle eyes of the Central Board of Film Certification, we can tell you that the censors decided to go easy on the cuts. Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been given a ‘U’ certificate, which means the film is unconditionally open to viewing by audiences of all ages, without a single cut.

Says a source in the know, “After the hue and cry in November over the censored kisses in the James Bond film Spectre, the Board didn’t want to take any chances. They decided to let the force remain with Star Wars, unhampered.” Fans will certainly be glad to know.
