Alia Bhatt wants to do a cameo in Student of The Year sequel

Soon after Karan Johar confided to his Twitter fans that a Student of The Year 2 is on the anvil, Alia Bhatt in an exclusive interview with us, confessed her wish to play a part in the film. “I don’t know if the star cast of Student of the Year 2 has been finalised, but since SOTY was made with three new comers and I think that should remain.”

SOTY kickstarted the careers of three Bollywood newcomers — Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia. Alia believes that in the same spirit, the sequel should also be made with a new star cast, however, she has a special favour to ask of Karan. “I’ll ask Karan if I can do a special appearance in the film.”

Her co-star Sidharth Malhotra is happy that it is being made into a franchise. “It will be great and for the first time, there will be a franchise to a film based on college life. I owe everything to that film and I wish more and more people from outside get work. That will help in better casting and like me, more and more outsiders can achieve their dream,” he said.
