Anil Kapoor seeks Salman Khan’s help to reposition Harshvardhan Kapoor

Harshvardhan Kapoor’s filmy career, as we know, didn’t take off exactly as planned. Although his debut Mirzya was a big film by a renowned filmmaker (Rakesh Omprakash Mehra) it’s lukewarm performance at the box office didn’t create enough ripples to please either the actor himself, or his father. Hence, daddy Anil Kapoor has taken it upon himself to set things right. The actor is seeking help from his friend and star Salman Khan, to guide Harshvardhan.

Apparently, Anil wasn’t too happy with his son’s choice of debut in the first place. Says a source, “Anil wanted to launch his son with a romantic film on a grand scale but Harsh wanted to do Mirzya. Anil now wants Salman to speak to him and give him guidance regarding his career. He met Salman recently to discuss this.”

Having said that, Harsh does have a few projects in his kitty. He will be doing Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi. In an earlier interview he also said that he is talks with Sriram Raghavan for the latter’s next project — an edgy, dark thriller about a musician, who fakes his own blindness. Anil Kapoor, however, insists that Harsh does a full-fledged romantic film.
