The back-to-back blows of Himmatwala and then Humshakals don’t seem to have weakened Sajid Khan’s resolve as a director. If anything, he now has a clearer idea of what he wants in his films — and that is, no newcomers. The director insists that he wants to work with A-listers and that if new talent must be part of his projects, they’ll be strictly in the sidelines, unless they are new technicians.

“I have always worked with stars and like it that way. If I do launch newcomers, it won’t be in the main lead, maybe in side roles. I’m open to working with new technicians though. Last year I had promised one choreographer on a reality show stage that I would work with him and I am. There is a lack of talent behind the scenes and when we find it, we should grab it.”
