Deepika Padukone fuels the Diesel fire

Online trends come from the strangest of places — and this new one was born after Deepika Padukone posted a photo of her posing with Fast &Furious actor Vin Diesel. Of course, the image went viral —that prompted Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan to respond with their own version and title it ‘Vin Petrol’! And now, fans across the country have followed suit.

Kirthi Jayakumar, an author and lawyer, posted a photo with her colleagues and called it ‘Vin Electric’. She said, “I nicknamed Vinay, a dear friend and colleague ‘Vin Diesel’ because he’s bald. When the actors put up their photos. Roshini, a friend, tagged us and said we should have our own version. So it ended up with five of us posing with a begrudging Desi-Diesel.”

Ronak from Mumbai posted his ‘Vin Kerosene’ version of the viral photo, and says, “We are all a group of gym buddies and we have always called this friend Vin Diesel. The moment I saw Akshay trolling Deepika, I knew we had to do one too!”
