Esha Deol does not speak Punjabi

Here’s some gossip we came across from the MTV Roadies auditions. Esha Deol, who makes her debut in television with MTV Roadies X2, was high on energy and enthusiasm on the day of auditions. This is the first time that Roadies has four judges on the panel and they are all from different backgrounds. Besides Esha herself, there are Rannvijay Singh, Vijender Singh and Karan Kundra and the one thing they all have in common is that they are all Punjabi.

Not many know that Esha, in spite of being a Punjabi, cannot speak the language. And this led to an embarrassing moment. A source in the know reveals, “Esha has often spoken about her love for all things Punjabi. To set the mood, the judges started to converse in Punjabi and they were all a bit confused when Esha kept silent. She was eventually forced to reveal that she doesn’t speak Punjabi. Also, during the auditions, Esha met a Punjabi contestant who tried to coax her to interact in Punjabi and she was once again put in a spot.”
