Amitabh Bachchan is now all set to don the stiff collar, as he will soon be seen playing a lawyer in his next, Pink, which is directed by debutant Anirudh Roy Chaudhary and produced by Shoojit Sircar.
However, while he has already done two mysteries this year, Pink seems to be taking things to another level, considering that it has managed to get even the Big B confused.
Attending the trailer launch of the film, Big B, when asked about his character, joked and said, “Even I am still confused about it. But it is a character that is sympathetic towards what’s happening currently in Delhi and our country.”
Speaking about the film, he further added, “Pink depicts women empowerment and that’s why it’s called ‘Pink’. I read somewhere that women’s bodies are not a democracy and rather a dictatorship, so it’s about time women start dictating. We want to show the power of women in this film.”
Talking about his power to carry through a film by himself, Big B said, “I am not a megastar; we are all here because we believed in the subject. I feel very proud to be a part of Pink.”
On his look in the film, Big B said, “I wore whatever Shoojit gave me. Only the mask in the trailer was my idea as I wear it usually in Delhi to deal with pollution.”
Revealing a little about the film’s subject, he said, “My character is depressed with his past. He is neighbours with three girls and tries to understand them. Since the film is a courtroom drama we even hired a real lawyer for the film. The subject is depicted so vividly that one would feel that they are in the courtroom.”
