Fukrey actor bags solo lead role

Manjot Singh who was seen in Fukrey and played Navjot Singh Siddhu in the recently released Azhar, has now bagged his first film as a solo lead. The film is a sports drama based on football.

Manjot Singh who was seen in Fukrey and played Navjot Singh Siddhu in the recently released Azhar, has now bagged his first film as a solo lead. The film is a sports drama based on football.

The project, helmed by director Shubham Singh, will take off in Lucknow today. Kay Kay Menon and Prachi Desai will play a part in the film too, which is slated for release in February 2017.

A source said, “The film will be shot in parts of Lucknow and Manipur. Manjot plays a football student in the film and Prachi Desai plays the coach.”

Manjot made his Bollywood debut with Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! in 2008 and was later noticed for his role as Lali in Fukrey. The actor is also part of Fukrey-2 that rolls in September this year.
