Haseena Parker delayed as Sonakshi Sinha needs to bulk up

There has been talk about Sonakshi Sinha playing Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parker in Apoorva Lakhia’s biopic on her. However, some weighty matters need to be resolved first. We hear that Sonakshi needs to put on weight for the role. And this she can do when she is freed of her other commitments. Right now Sonakshi is neck-deep in completing Force 2 and Akira.

The first schedule of the film that was supposed to kick off in February has been postponed. And now questions are being raised about the project’s tenability. Some are of the opinion, that Sonakshi, who is a hardcore masala film actress, has developed cold feet about doing a bio-pic on the life a controversial woman.

A source close to the project denies these rumours. “Not true. Sonakshi is very much doing Haseena. But her February dates got skewed because of her Force 2 co-star John Abraham’s injury. The action scenes with John which were supposed to be shot in October last year will be shot in February now. And after that Sonakshi needs at least three months to promote Akira. That’s why Haseena had to be pushed to the end of the year.” Confirming the weight issue, the source added, “Yes, Sonakshi will have to put on some extra pounds for Haseena. So she needs to knock off her other projects before she can start working on a new look.”
